Second District Joins Community at Trent Park Court Unveiling

Event speakers sit on stage near the newly renovated basketball court as a community audience watches.

Second District officers were proud to take part in the ribbon cutting at Trent Park, where the Cleveland Cavaliers unveiled their first fully renovated outdoor basketball court as part of their “Basketball for All” initiative.

The Cavaliers’ efforts—developed in partnership with Ward 14 Council Member Jasmin Santana and several local organizations—brought the neighborhood together for a day of celebration. Youth and community groups helped paint the vibrant new courts, which feature the phrase “Somos Arte,” or “We Are Art,” reflecting the neighborhood’s identity.

While the Second District’s role was largely supportive, officers helped distribute free basketballs and enjoyed the community atmosphere. CPF is proud to support events like these that reinforce safe, welcoming public spaces for Cleveland families.
