
Our Police Officer of the Month for October 2025 is Patrol Officer Renee Perez, who recently received the Hispanic Heritage Public Service Award. The following is the write-up they provided to honor this outstanding officer.
Officer Renee Perez has proudly served the City of Cleveland for 25 years as a dedicated member of the Cleveland Division of Police. Officer Perez started her career in September of 2000, where she patrolled the 3rd and 5th Districts before being assigned to the City Hall Security Unit in 2021.
A lifelong resident of Cleveland, Officer Perez grew up in the city she now protects and serves, deeply committed to the community that shaped her.
Throughout her career, she has demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and compassion in her work, building trust with residents and serving as a role model for future generations. Her unwavering dedication to public safety and her willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty have earned her the respect of colleagues and community members alike.
Officer Perez’s 25 years of service reflect not only her personal courage and commitment, but also her love for Cleveland and its people. She is honored with the Public Service Award in recognition of her outstanding career and lifelong devotion to the well-being of her community.
It is because of her dedication and devotion to the community she serves that the Cleveland Police Foundation is honored to name Patrol Officer Renee Perez our Police Officer of the Month for October 2025.
