We’re proud to announce Lieutenant Shawn Smith as the new Acting Commander of the 4th District. With over 27 years of dedicated service, Lieutenant Smith’s roots run deep in this community — having grown u near E 93rd and Kinsman, and serving on patrol in the 4th District for 9 years.
His career has been marked by leadership and commitment to training, serving as an instructor and later Officer in Charge at the Cleveland Police Academy. After being promoted to lieutenant and leading the entire academy, he returned to the 4th District as patrol lieutenant before stepping into his new role.
