The Progress of Officer Derek Owens’ Memorial Park

Officer Derek Owens’ Memorial Park was observed from a drone’s eye view!!

A big thanks to Fourth District Officer Devan Wynn for taking the time to get aerial shots of the park after the concrete work was completed.

Notice the serpentine mound in the middle of the park.  In ancient times, serpentine mounds were used as burial sites to honor the dead and to symbolize man’s journey in life, starting in the middle and then expanding outward.

Look for news to come of the opening of the park!
