The CPF in Partnership with the OCPA Presents the ” Tip Of The Week”

BECOMING A CONCERNED CITIZEN

Programs you can take part in:
Court Watch – This program is comprised of concerned citizens and neighbors that monitor arrest outcomes. Volunteer citizens attend court proceedings to ensure that criminals are prosecuted. Court Watch helps victims and their families send a clear message to criminals and judges that crime will not be tolerated in our neighborhoods.
Citizens Police Academy – This program offers an opportunity for people involved in the community to learn first-hand the duties and responsibilities of police officers. Participants in the academy will gain valuable insight into the operations of the Cleveland Division Of Police. They will acquire a deeper understanding of the policies and procedures which help guide an officer’s decision.
Police/ Community Relations District Committees – Established in each of the five police districts, these committees, chaired by the district commander, are comprised of residents and police who meet on a monthly basis, to discuss current safety issues, and increase community awareness and problem solving.
These programs allow you more opportunity to deter crime in your community. For general information regarding these programs, call 216-623-5080 or 216-664-4646.
