The Cleveland Police Foundation offers its ” Tip of the Week “

Home Security:  ( outside)

1 – Trim shrubbery that hides doors and windows and cut back tree limbs that could help a burglar reach second story windows.

2 –  Make sure porches, entrances and yards are well-lit.

3 –  Report broken street lights to the utility company.

 Home Security:  (while away)

1 – Leave lights and a radio on to give your home an occupied look.

2 – Use timing devices to turn lights on and off at various times.

3 – Keep your garage door closed and locked.

Editor Note: The Cleveland Police Foundation is proud to partner with the Ohio Crime Prevention Association and extend our gratitude for their contributions to our  “Tip of the Week”.  OCPA%20logo%202
