Children and the officers have a blast and the interaction between them is heartwarming. Kids are also presented with an educational component which included being a friend to the environment, practicing good safety principles and good sportsmanship.
The Cleveland Police Foundation is proud to help facilitate fishing outings for hundreds of kids in the summer. Children of all ages participate from the Boys and Girls Clubs, the Police Athletic League, and various neighborhoods from the City of Cleveland, and they are made possible by a number of organizations: Ohio Department of Natural Resources, First Energy, and All Metal Sales.
We would love to have your help to keep facilitating programs like these through the Cops for Kids program, one of our official charities. We are in need of general funds to keep these other wonderful programs running.
The Cleveland Police Foundation is the official charity for the Cleveland Division of Police and the only organization authorized to solicit charitable contributions on its behalf. Contributions are tax deductible as permitted under section 501 (c)(3) of the IRS Code.
