September 2023 Newsletter: Honoring Cleveland’s Heroes and Community Partners

The September edition unfolds with the Third District Community Relations Awards Ceremony held on September 20, 2023, at the Fatima Family Center. The event, graced by Mayor Bibb, Chief Drummond, and other city officials, paid tribute to CPD officers and citizens who have showcased exceptional service to their community. The Cleveland Police Foundation also presented Community Service Awards to notable individuals and groups, affirming the spirit of community and selfless service.

The newsletter also covers:

  • Officers Tobin, Myers, and Barnett extending a helping hand to a struggling family, showcasing the humane and compassionate side of the Cleveland Police.
  • Mike Trivisonno, Jr., honored as August’s Community Partner of the Month for his unwavering support to law enforcement, further fostering a positive rapport between the community and the police.
  • The announcement of the early success of the Leadership in Action Fundraising Campaign by the Cleveland Police Foundation, revealing over $50,000 raised to support various unfunded police initiatives, and inviting the community to partake in the cause.
  • The annual Cleveland PAL Scholarship recipients’ segment celebrating the outstanding achievements and future aspirations of young scholars affiliated with law enforcement families, embodying hope and promising prospects for the community.
