One Last Salute to One of Cleveland’s Finest

The Cleveland Police Foundation wishes to extend its deepest sympathies to the family of Officer Raymond Francel. Officer Francel, age 53, of North Ridgeville, passed away suddenly January 11, 2023. He was born in Cleveland, on June 1, 1969. He was a proud and loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and police officer who will be greatly missed by many. Raymond dedicated 27 years to serving the public as a Cleveland Public Police Officer, most recently with the Airport Unit. Ray was a man of faith and love who enriched the lives of those who knew him with his gifts of service, love, and sense of humor. Ray is survived by his mother Liuda Francel, brother Joseph (Laura) Francel, niece Riley Ann and nephew AJ.
