Honor Guard at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel

d2 honor guard

The Cleveland Division of Police Honor Guard presented the colors today at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School (D2) as part of the school’s celebration of Catholic Schools Week. Following the presentation of colors and the national anthem, the team conducted a ceremonial flag fold, inviting two younger students to assist. During the demonstration, 2nd District’s Sergeant Ross explained the meaning behind the 13 folds and why the folded flag serves as a symbol of sacrifice in both the military and the safety forces. At the conclusion of the event, the school presented the Honor Guard with a sign and cards to show their appreciation.
