By Edward M. Stevens, Interim Board Chairman and Secretary
Dick Clough, a respected community leader, will retire from the Cleveland Police Foundation (CPF) Board at the end of February after 12 years of dedicated service and impactful leadership.
During his tenure, Dick strengthened the Foundation’s mission of building trust between the Cleveland Division of Police and the community. Under his guidance, CPF invested in youth engagement initiatives, officer morale and wellness programs, and efforts that reinforced collaboration to help make our city safer. He leaves the organization well positioned for continued stability, growth, and long-term impact.
Dick also helped position the Foundation to better support underfunded police initiatives, district programs, and partner organizations such as the Honor Guard, Police Pipes & Drums, Mounted Police Unit, Police Athletic League, and Cleveland Police Museum. As an independent nonprofit serving as fiduciary for philanthropic support of the Division, CPF is well prepared for the future because of his leadership.
Dick will be honored at an upcoming board ceremony and luncheon, and we know he will continue serving Cleveland through the Tour of Good Cheer and Green Ribbon Coalition, organizations he founded.
As we move forward, we remain committed to advancing our three core pillars: Community Policing, Officer Wellness, and Heroes Support.
