CPF Donates a Little Free Library for the Children of Stockyard Neighborhood

Makanya, from W 52 in the Stockyard neighborhood, wanted to make a positive impact on her community and promote literacy. She reached out to Captain Sulzer of Community Policing and the Cleveland Police Foundation for some help. Captain Sulzer, through Margaret Bernstein from WKYC in Cleveland, and through the Cleveland Police Foundation was able to acquire a Little Free Library for Makanya. The Captain then reached out to another source he knew would love to help, Dave Reuse from Stockyard, Clark-Fulton, Brooklyn Centre Development. With Dave’s help the library was installed on some very sturdy posts and now is able to be accessed by the children in the neighborhood. Our hope is that the children of this community understand the power of reading and embrace education as a means to success. Thank you Makayna, Margaret Bernstein, and SCFBC Development for trying to make a difference in Cleveland!!14330174_659070044258231_8232289046011771965_n
