Parents, kids, and Officers begin boarding the Holiday.

The fifth, and final Cops/Kids Fishing Event was held this past Tuesday at Edgewater Park for Officers, and kids from the First District. After distributing the t-shirts to the enthusiastic participants Captain Wayne Bratton, and his crew arrived with his boat, the Holiday. After boarding, the Captain decided to yield to the 3 to 4 foot waves that were breaking and decided to keep the boat inside the breakwall but the kids, and Officers still managed to catch a few fish, and enjoyed a guided tour of the city from the boat. Upon arrival back to shore the group enjoyed lunch provided by The Cleveland Police Foundation, and the kids got to visit with officers from the Mounted Unit, K-9, Community Policing, and S.W.A.T. Thank you to Commander McCartney, all the officers, the parents, and most of all thanks to all the kids that participated and are invited to come back next year.

The Holiday returns with a hungry bunch of fishermen, and women.
