Continued Progress on Officer Derek Owens Memorial Park

On Day #145 of work on the Officer Derek Owens Memorial Park, three noteworthy sandstone benches were installed on the pendulum section of the park.

The three benches were repurposed from the front porch steps of one of the homes razed on the property. The benches are for Derek’s wife and his two children.

The Cleveland Browns’ playset construction continues. The park has just received delivery on 13 park benches and two trash containers.

Opening of the park is expected this fall.
