Cleveland Police Foundation Law Enforcement Shadowing Project

The first Cleveland Police Foundation Law Enforcement Shadowing Project was a great success on Wednesday August 8!! Fifteen kids from the Boys and Girls Club had the opportunity to get an insider’s view of law enforcement in Cleveland. They travelled to the Fourth District and got a tour of the jail, gym, detective unit, and Commander’s office by Fourth District officers Andino and Santillo. They then travelled to the Cleveland Police Museum for a tour and lesson on CPD history by retired CPD sergeant Pat Reynolds. Next they visited our Homicide Unit and spoke with Homicide Lt. Ali Pillow about his experience as a police officer. After a delicious lunch donated by Crust Pizza they got in inside look at the FBI and toured their facility on Lakeside. Special Agent Tim and SOS Alex talked to them about their careers and life working for the FBI. We capped off the day by going to Mitchell’s Ice Cream on West 25th Street.

Thank you Boys and Girls Club for your participation!! Most importantly, a big thanks to the Saint Luke’s Foundation for supporting this great project!! Saint Luke’s Foundation
