From Cleveland Landmark to Community Partner

Community Partner of the Month graphic reading “A Story That Gives Back” for House From A Christmas Story.

This month’s Community Partner of the Month is The House from a Christmas Story, a popular attraction and museum located in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood.

The 19th-century Victorian house was used for the exterior and select interior scenes of Ralphie Parker’s home in the 1983 film A Christmas Story. Purchased by a private developer in 2004, the home has since been restored and renovated to reflect its appearance in the film, both inside and out.

The following statement was provided by 2nd District Sgt. Andrew Thomas on why the organization was selected for this recognition:

“The House from a Christmas Story is an organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of the iconic film, which was shot in the Tremont neighborhood in 1983. Both the organization and the house attract visitors year-round, bringing energy and activity that naturally contribute to a safer, more vibrant community. Over the years, the organization has given back to the neighborhood, and this year they chose to honor the officers who serve it. By partnering with the Cleveland Police Foundation, they provided a lunch for our personnel during Christmas week, a gesture of appreciation that meant a great deal to our officers.”

Because of their dedication and commitment to both the community and Cleveland police officers, the Cleveland Police Foundation is honored to name The House from a Christmas Story our Community Partner of the Month for December 2025.
