I had the opportunity to address the 159th Cleveland Police Academy Class at the Justice Center yesterday. Our discussion focused on the work of the Cleveland Police Foundation and the three main components of our mission, which include:
- Building bridges of trust and understanding between the community and CPD officers
- Creating opportunities for positive police interaction with kids in neighborhoods throughout the city
- Enhancing the morale, mental health, and well-being of CPD officers
I truly enjoyed my time with these young men and women. They were respectful and attentive, and they will be graduating this Friday.
