3rd District CPD Officers and Dispatchers Celebrate Appreciation Day

This past Wednesday, our 3rd District CPD Officers and dispatchers were treated to an outstanding lunch. The food, provided by Smoke N Rock & Roll Barbecue, was sponsored by Jay Lucarelli, owner of the Minutemen Company, and the Cleveland Police Foundation. Each officer enjoyed a meal of a pork sandwich, macaroni & cheese, coleslaw, and various desserts.

We also had some special guests. Cleveland Guardian players Will Brennan, Trevor Stephan, and Cam Gallegher were there, spending time and interacting with our officers.

I want to give a big thank you to Cleveland Police Foundation President Dick Clough, Executive Director Rick Dechant, and board member Jim Craciun for coming out. We also had volunteers Rose Roy and Lisa Fox there. They didn’t just serve up the desserts – they provided them as well. A shout-out also goes to Niko Frangos and my wife Judy for their contributions.

It was great to see Sgt. Melissa Dawson from the Employee Assistance Unit there. She brought along our therapy dog, Apollo.

It was a fantastic day, all about giving thanks to our frontline officers and dispatchers. Keep up the good work and be safe.
