2nd District Softball Goes Down to the Wire

The weather was beautiful this past Wednesday as two teams consisting of CPD 2nd District officers battled it out in a game of softball at Brookside Park.

The game ended in a tie but in sudden death Lt. Tim Maffo Judd’s team came out victorious and secured the much sacred traffic cone trophy. A good time was had by all and congratulations goes out to the winning team led by self proclaimed MVP Chuck (The Hammer) McNamara who hit for the cycle.

Upon completion a lunch consisting of hot dogs and hamburgers was provided by the Cleveland Police Foundation and plans were being made for a rematch. A big thank you goes out to retired CPD Officer Ray Pagor who umpired the game, and also long- time 2nd District Neighborhood activist Rose Roy who helped feed the troops.
