The 31st Annual Police Memorial Commemoration, hosted by The Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Officers Memorial Society, takes place from May 14-22nd and includes events and ceremonies that honor the lives of 184 officers from Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina and Northern Summit Counties who have given their lives in the line of duty.  Our motto, "Keeping The Promise to never forget", ensures this will never happen.

Cleveland police officers and councilman Zack Reed teamed up on to donate some baseball equipment for some local Little League teams. Players and coaches from the B-Buzz Little League teams got bats, ball, mitts and batting helmets. Read more...
Cleveland Police Officers Mike Harper and Nick Lombardi met Janiya at the Boys and Girls Club on E 59th and Woodland and struck up a quick friendship. Janiya asked if they would like to come to her 6th birthday party the next week. The officers surprised Janiya and showed up to her house with a birthday cake. Happy birthday, Janiya!!

Once again The Cleveland Police Foundation with a grant provided by the Ohio Division Of Natural Resources will present the 5th Annual Cops/Kids Fishing Events. The officers assigned to each of the five districts will have the opportunity to fish with kids from their neighborhoods aboard either the Holiday Charter Boat out of Edgewater Park, or the Linda Mae, and Express Charter Boats out of Wildwood Park.
The Cleveland Police Foundation and Captain Sulzer are hosting their 3rd annual reverse raffle on Friday, June 10th, at St. Rocco's. 100% of the funds raised will go straight back to the community. The Cleveland Police Foundation is buying a truck for Cops for Kids events throughout the city, and we need help getting the truck painted and properly equipped. This reverse raffle will also help fund the 2nd District's Kids Christmas party, Cops for Kids programs, and Special Olympics.
Chief Calvin Williams designated the Cleveland Police Foundation (CPF) as the official vendor of the 2016 CPD RNC Commemorative Badge and related items.
T-Shirts and medallions are NOW available to purchase at the Cleveland Police Museum located on the first floor of the Justice Center. Commemorative Badge and Lapel Pin sets can also be ordered there, or place your order
online.
Cleveland Police and the Cleveland Police Foundation supported CMSD's 15th Annual Progress with Chess Competition at the Main Branch of the Cleveland Public Library. CPD Officer Carl Bowers was assisted by several officers to help make this event happen. Congratulations to all the teachers, officers, CPL staff, and mentors who give back to our most precious asset, our children! See more photos from the event here....
